Gundog
Originally bred as a wildfowling dog, selectively bred to retrieve ducks & geese in the harsh climate of the Chesapeake Bay region of Maryland, USA. The Chesapeake will hunt and retrieve a variety of feathered and furred game.
Showdog
The Chesapeake is one of only a few breeds that stay true to their working purpose, yet the same dogs can also be shown, rather than the work/show split in breeds like Labradors. Truly form meets function.
Companion
True family companions, Chessies are often called velcro dogs, as they like to be with their owners and join in with daily activities. Many will still have an instinct to guard the home, and protect the youngest members of the family.
Puppies
My puppies are reared with the utmost love, care and attention, and plenty of fresh air and outside stimulation, to prepare them for the big outside world!
All my puppies are wormed and vaccinated (first vaccine) and are well socialised and habituated befored they leave, so they are prepared as well as possible for the next step in their lives.
I offer a lifetime of support for all of my puppy buyers, including the guarantee that I will always take a dog back, at any stage of their life, if needed.

My dogs live in my home, as part of the family. When we are not out walking, shooting, showing, competing or camping, they spend the day with me on my smallholding.
